Forget the eggs and have a Baker Days Easter cake

I know I've probably said this a million times, as has everybody else, but... where is 2016 going?! Easter is just a week away, and with Easter comes lots of chocolate in the shape of rabbits, chicks and, of course, a good old fashioned egg. But what if you fancy something different this year? What if you and your family have decided to mix it up for a change? Well then, Baker Days can definitely sort you out...

I first came across Baker Days when I reviewed one of the cakes from their Christmas range (needless to say, it was a glowing review), and so when they mentioned that they were on the lookout for bloggers to review their Easter range, I had no hesitation in offering my services... as if I would refuse!

After picking the flavour of my cake* and choosing a pretty personalised design, I just had to wait for the yummy parcel to pop through my letterbox. Once again, it arrived in absolutely perfect condition with no bump or scrape in sight thanks to the cute signature 'Just For You' tin.

As soon as I took the lid off of the tin I was greeted with a gorgeous smell, and I couldn't wait to get stuck in (though felt a little sad to be chopping up such a pretty design!). The cake* itself was incredibly soft and fresh, and I can confirm that it tasted incredibly delicious. So delicious, in fact, that it didn't make it through the night - whoops!

I think cake is a fabulous alternative to eggs this year, especially if you're spending Easter with your family. It's a great way to bring everyone together as you each share a bit of the scrumptious yummy goodness of Baker Days cakes. If you order before 2pm you can even get next day delivery - perfect!
