Stepping into Spring with the Lush York blogger event

Once again, Spring is upon us, and with Spring comes a new range of wonderfully colourful Lush products. The store in York took this as an opportunity to have their very first blogger event to which a few lucky bloggers were invited (yes, even little old me!). I had an incredible time at the Lush Hull event last year, so when Lush York contacted me to invite me to a fun-filled night of bath bombs, luscious scents and great company, how on earth could I refuse?!

My January exams are finally over and thus I am emerging from beneath mounds of mathematical notes like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, which means I can finally update you on two big, fat, fabulous blogger events I went to in December.

#YorkKiehlsXmas Blogger Event

A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to Kiehls' Christmas event in York. After driving to York blasting Justin Bieber, mooching around the Christmas markets, almost getting blown away by the extreme winds, and trying makeup and fragrances in Browns, we finally made it into the warm, toasty Kiehls shop, ready for a night of fun, nibbles, drinks and more!

At A Social Event Launch Party

I absolutely adore weddings, so when I was invited to the launch party of a new wedding orientated business, I jumped at the chance! I went with my lovely blogger friend, Kate, and we had a wonderful, giggle-filled night.

The business being launched was At A Social Event, which is a new and very modern way of sharing your wedding memories whilst they're happening.

#HBAlPorto Lush Goodies Haul

As most of you probably know, since I haven't stopped wittering on about it, I attended a Hull Bloggers meet a couple of weeks ago (which was brilliant, by the way!) and one of the stalls that set up there was the colourful array that is Lush Hull.

It's been one whole week now since the Hull Bloggers August meet at Al Porto restaurant on the Hull Marina, and even as I'm typing this out, I can feel a smile starting to form on my face as I think back to the wonderful day.

My day began with a nervous me running around like a headless chicken trying to get ready, and when I realised I was running late (shock horror!) I felt ready to have a panic attack. Not good. Luckily I had the wonderful Kate just a text away with plenty of reassurance for me that everything would be fine. Not only was she a life saver at calming me down, she also happened to be 100% correct!

Ahead of the release of their new Easter products,  Hull's branch of Lush invited down some lucky bloggers (yes, myself included - eek!) for a night of vibrant demonstrations, friendly consultations and a sneak peak at the upcoming products in use. It was also a night for me to be brave.
