A Countdown of My Fave Fit Brits

A girl is never too old to have celebrity crushes. It's a fact. And after discussing a number of swoon-worthy men with Sarah last night, I've decided to share with you all a top ten countdown of some fabulous Brits who make me weak at the knees.

Disclaimer: the order is subject to change, cos y'know, they're all awesome and win me over in different ways every time I see them. #yum

8 Reality TV Shows I Can't Help But Get Addicted to Every Year*

Reality television is a bit like marmite - you either love it, or hate it. For me, I can't get enough of it. There's nothing worse than having no Saturday night TV in between reality series finishing and starting. What am I supposed to watch whilst I munch on my takeaway and gobble some sweeties?! I've slipped in and out of pretty much every reality series out there, but there are eight in particular I watch every year without fail...

I'm happy with who won BGT, and trolling is not okay

The Britain's Got Talent final was on TV last night (if you didn't know that, where on earth have you been?!), and what a magnificent show it was. The finalists were spectacular - dancing, magic, death stunts, comedy, animals, music, madness - and the night was definitely a good one. I mean, the 10 year celebration that Ashley Banjo set up? In-cred-i-ble.

But I'm not here to talk about the night in general. I'm here to have a good old babble about our winner. (Sooooo, if you haven't watched it yet and don't want a spoiler, you should go away. Maybe read this post, or this post to keep you occupied?)

The Walking Dead Ruled Journals

We're now almost one whole week into The Walking Dead's mid-season break (was anyone else totally disappointed with the mid-season finale by the way?!), and if you're a super fan like me, you'll be getting impatient already. I have to wait until February? February, really?!

Meanwhile, however, I may have something here to cheer you up just a little bit whilst you wait. Insight Editions have released these undeniably awesome The Walking Dead journals*, and PGUK were kind enough to send me some.

The Walking Dead S06E03: Stop the Nicholas Hate!

Today is going to be one of them I'm-posting-an-unpopular-opinion days, but it think it's needed. As most of you will know, I am a huge The Walking Dead fan, and if you follow me on Twitter, you've probably seen me tweeting quiteeee a lot since the most recent episode. And the tweets weren't spoiler free, and I really, really apologise for that. Warning: this post won't be spoiler free either. Like, seriously, look away right now if you don't wanna know what happens if you're not caught up!

Guest Post: Books vs Beauty

This post is guest post written by author and presenter, Jackie Kabler. Find out more about her and her debut novel below!

"When you have a full time job and are also attempting to be a writer, you find yourself constantly juggling your two lives. After twenty years as a TV news reporter, I joined shopping channel QVC as a presenter nearly three years ago. I absolutely love it - it's the ultimate girlie job, getting paid to talk about fashion, beauty, shoes and handbags on the telly. But on my days off, I have to force myself to switch into a totally different mindset, as my genre of choice as an author is murder mystery. Hence, one day I'll be on air talking about the ingredients in, and effectiveness of, the latest moisturiser or fake tan, then the next I'll be online researching the sort of injuries someone might have after a fall from a tall building, or how to kill somebody with untraceable poison.

How a Self-Published Author Got a Movie Contract

Today I am over the moon to be announcing that self-published author, Mark Matthews, has signed a movie contract for his urban horror story, Milk-Blood (see my review here!).

Milk-Blood tells the story of a young girl who not only suffers with a heart defect, but was also born with an addiction to heroin. It delves into her disturbing childhood filled with drug addiction, violence and real-life horrors. I'm ever so tempted to rant on about how much I enjoyed this unsettling yet engrossing story, but you can read all of that in my book review here!

6 Reasons Why Frozen is Awesome

Disney's Frozen is definitely a movie that caused a storm for both children and adults across the nation. It's a family favourite, and working in a kids play area I have yet to come across a child who doesn't know every single word to 'Let It Go' and 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?'!
