The real reasons people aren't playing Pokemon GO

You can't escape it. It's everywhere. Pokémon GO. You know the one I mean. The one causing people to walk around like zombies with their faces glued to their phone. And then causing other people to sit upon their high horse and tell people they're "childish" or "geeks" for playing it. And these people might be getting their own way as I heard on the radio on Wednesday that Pokémon Go gameplay is down by 79%. A whopping 79%! I've been racking my brain to try and figure out why these people are so against Pokémon Go. I think I've cracked it...

Ashton, where are you?

You may or may not have noticed that recently, I've not been out and about in the online world very much. (Shoutout to the cuties that noticed and have messaged me! If you haven't noticed, how very rude of you... jk. 😉)

My Twitter feed has been neglected, my Instagram filters have been gathering dust and cobwebs, and my blog hasn't has much of an update in a while. Which seems very odd considering I've just had a few days off from work one after the other. I did plan to spend that time blogging, but it turns out, I was so unbusy that I was ever so busy.

"Okay, wait, so bloggers actually PAY for followers?!"

It's no secret that followers can be bought on the Internet. I often have people favourite my tweets or Instagram photos with the display name "BuY Mør3 f0LL0ŵëRżŽ"... Umm, nah, you're alright, pal. But is it true? Do bloggers actually pay for their followers? The answer is yes.

Yes they do.

I'm happy with who won BGT, and trolling is not okay

The Britain's Got Talent final was on TV last night (if you didn't know that, where on earth have you been?!), and what a magnificent show it was. The finalists were spectacular - dancing, magic, death stunts, comedy, animals, music, madness - and the night was definitely a good one. I mean, the 10 year celebration that Ashley Banjo set up? In-cred-i-ble.

But I'm not here to talk about the night in general. I'm here to have a good old babble about our winner. (Sooooo, if you haven't watched it yet and don't want a spoiler, you should go away. Maybe read this post, or this post to keep you occupied?)

So, I didn't follow you back on Twitter?

I'm pretty sure it's happened to us all. You get a new follower on Twitter at, let's say, 8pm one night. Cool. Hey there, maybe we'll end up being friends. But if you haven't followed them back by the next day, well, they don't hesitate to click the unfollow button. And sometimes it happens with the same person a few times. You've done nothing to offend them overnight, except not follow them back straight away. But what is so wrong with that?

Preparing for Summer Holiday Style with Aldo (plus a chance to win £500!)

I am a self-confessed holiday addict. And I'm proud of it. We all deserve to take some time off to relax in our perfect holiday setting and calm our minds. For me, a sunshine holiday is favourite, (though I do love a city break too!) and with Benidorm, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Tenerife coming up for me in 2016, I have plenty to look forward to. So when I saw that Aldo were running a competition to win £500 to spend with them, I jumped at the chance and browsed their site to pick out some of my summer favourites. 🌞 (Don't worry, I'll let you know how to enter too!)

Let Me Tell You This #5

Happy Sunday! This week was my first week back to university after the Easter break and man, I am tired. Too many late nights have destroyed my sleeping pattern, but hey ho... noone to blame but myself, right? I have, however, had some fun goodies and have stumbled across some awesome blog posts!

Help for when you don't quite follow the whole no-follow link thing

As a blogger, you may have come across news recently that Google have updated their guidelines regarding no-follow links when working with brands and businesses, in particular receiving goodies for free in exchange for a review. That's all well and good, but what if you don't know what the bloody hell a no-follow link is?! Though I am by no means an expert, I've helped a few of my fabulous blogger friends grasp how it works, and so today I will try my best to help you too.

50 Things That Make Me Happy

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to appreciate the little things in life, but it's these little things that create the bigger picture. When the gorgeous Debra tagged me to write 50 things that make me happy, I took the opportunity to forget about all the stress sitting on my shoulders at this point in my life, and instead started reflecting on the normal, every day things that make me feel a little happier.

Let Me Tell You This #4

Obviously I'm gonna start with a big, fat "Happy Easter!" to you all. I hope you're all merrily stuffing your faces with lots of chocolate (or maybe Easter cake) and taking it easy today. I've had a nice chilled out week this week and so have come across some good stuff to share with you guys...

Let Me Tell You This #3

You may have seen at the end of January that I started a new feature called Let Me Tell You This; a post where I simply rounded up my week by telling you about fun things I've read, significant points in my life as well as any entertaining links I thought you guys might like. Well, useless old me only kept it up for two weeks (seriously, just twice), and now I wanna bring it back. Maybe not every week - I might have some pretty boring weeks where I can't write anything - but as much as I can. So, what's new this week?

15 Things I Lie About (Almost!) Daily

Day to day, we are faced with opportunities to either tell the truth, or to tell a fib. I have a confession to make: I'm a big fat liar. I tell a lie pretty much every single day, mostly to myself. And you probably tell a few porkies too. Don't agree? Have a read of my little white lies and see if they change your mind!

It's okay not to celebrate Valentine's Day

Okay, this is kind of a spontaneous post, which I've not done before (spontaneity can lead to regret!) but hey ho. I'm currently sat in bed feeling lonely because my boyfriend has gone off to work for the day. Sure, I'd love him to be here with me snuggling, but he's doing overtime because he's in the process of creating us the perfect home, and to do that, we need money. So what's more romantic than that?! The fact he's gone to work on Valentine's Day so that he can buy us the perfect sofa, or treat us to a new TV, or simply afford a carpet, is perfect.

A free 5* holiday to Switzerland? Yes please!

Hello everyone! As you may know if you follow me on Twitter or if you read my first Let Me Tell You This post, I was incredibly lucky and won myself a 5* holiday to Mexico (I know, it's amazing, I still can't quite believe it!). I'm always entering giveaways on Twitter, and have been lucky enough to win a fair few, but nothing as big as holiday... until now of course! And seriously, now I feel like I have lucky dust and can win more... If I win a holiday to Mexico, I can conquer the world, right?

Alone this Valentines? Have a date with yourself!

As you all know, the day of love is just around the corner. A day when red rose sales are at an ultimate high, jewellery is flying off the shelves, and restaurants are overflowing with happy couples. But what if you're alone this Valentine's? Your partner might not believe in the holiday (*cough cough* Damian!), or you could live apart. Maybe you're happily married with children and time together seems an impossibility, or maybe you've just not found the special one yet. Then what? Then you have a date with yourself for the night, and here are some fabulous ways to do it (and some lovely giveaways will follow to get you started)...

A #LeedsXmasMeet and the #LaRedouteBloggerXmasParty

My January exams are finally over and thus I am emerging from beneath mounds of mathematical notes like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, which means I can finally update you on two big, fat, fabulous blogger events I went to in December.

Planning My Year with Stick to Stigu

Let me start with a happy belated new year, and apologies for the lack of blog posts! My January has been incredibly hectic due to it being that horrid time of the year - semester one exams. I'm half way through them now and so wanted to show you what I'm using to plan my 2016.

At A Social Event Launch Party

I absolutely adore weddings, so when I was invited to the launch party of a new wedding orientated business, I jumped at the chance! I went with my lovely blogger friend, Kate, and we had a wonderful, giggle-filled night.

The business being launched was At A Social Event, which is a new and very modern way of sharing your wedding memories whilst they're happening.
